Scoutwest, Inc. Announces Standard Issue™

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (February 26, 2002) - Scoutwest, Inc., a developer of project management software, today announced that it has made public a new defect and issue management product named Standard Issue™ to strengthen its lineup of products.

Standard Issue™ represents a rethink of defect tracking, and is targeted at companies that have not traditionally used project management tools.  “Creative people often won’t use the current tools because they feel stifled by them,” says Ray White, President of Scoutwest. “We’re working from that angle.”

Standard Issue, which is used in product development groups, helps track defects, enhancements, and other issues that arise during the development cycle.  Issues that would otherwise get silently swept under the rug now follow straightforward workflow policies from creation to resolution.  The product includes unlimited roles, actions, states, priorities and types to marshal issues through various stages of development, verification, and resolution.  Project participants including product management, development, quality assurance, and executives can use Standard Issue™ collaboratively to guide products from concept to release.
